Packaging Designer

PRIMARY DESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure customer Design Input requirements are properly defined, reviewed, approved and controlled according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • To conceptualize and create designs and convert into a CAD (computer-aided design). This is done in Prototype, Development and Production levels according to company established SOP’s.
  • Ensure all First Article approvals are submitted, approved and controlled per established SOP’s.
  • Ensure the design schedule is followed, on a daily basis, in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Utilize sense of urgency in meeting all design schedules.
  • Interact with management, customers and sales personnel on design issues and scheduling requirements.
  • Comply with all established company and client SOP’s.
  • Attend design and project related meetings to ensure deliverables are documented and met.
  • Assist in maintaining the Design database.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • Prefer 4-year degree in packaging design, architecture or other technical fields; or comparable work experience.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, with previous manufacturing and process support experience in the medical device industry desired.
  • Previous packaging experience involving plastics and other materials is beneficial.
  • Required to document all design activities on controlled engineering drawings according to SOP’s and industry standards.
  • Must have creative design talent including layout and experience in 2D/3D Designs.
  • Must be able to read technical drawings and understand dimensions & geometry.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of plant personnel and management and present self in a professional manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, an extremely high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment and able to meet defined schedules and deadlines.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity. Ability to operate hand tools such as calipers, micrometers and equipment machinery is required.
  • Must maintain confidentiality regarding customer and company designs.
  • Must present self in a professional manner and maintain a positive attitude towards others.
  • Must be able to work in a controlled environment.

Quality Control Inspectors (1 position day shift, 1 second shift)

1st Shift (5AM to 1:30 PM) M-F
2nd Shift (12:30 to 11 PM) M-TH (4-10 Work Shift)

Essential Job Duties:

  • Performing daily QC activities accordingly to Company’s Quality System.
  • Adhering to Production and Inspection Schedules and meeting customer ship dates.
  • Ensuring materials are properly handled, stored/segregated, labeled and transported to maintain cleanliness and defined quality attributes.
  • Ensuring requests for corrective and preventive action are understood and implemented as required.
  • Ensuring equipment and operators are producing conforming product to internal and external quality standards, as well as product specifications.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance and controlled environment cleaning activities are performed per procedure.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Verify any instruments or equipment used is calibrated or meets procedural requirements prior to use.
  • Perform quality control operations according to released Quality Instructions and customer specification requirements.
  • Provide constructive input/suggestions to the daily functions at CCT.
  • Assist with miscellaneous requests as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Able to read, write and comprehend English fluently to communicate and understand engineering specs and notes.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with basic inspection equipment. (i.e. calipers, micrometers, rulers, pin gauges, etc.)
  • At least 2 years’ good working knowledge and familiarity reading and understanding drawings, spec sheets, blueprints.
  • Good comprehension of dimensional tolerancing.
  • At least two years’ experience in the role of QC inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical device or aerospace industries. (but not required)
  • Familiar with sampling plans. (i.e. C=0, ANSI, ASQ, etc.)
  • Experience with data collection software is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with medical device quality control (QC) is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. legally without sponsorship.
  • Must have general computer skills:

    • Experience with MRP/ERP programs/ systems.
    • Useful Experience in MS Office. (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Maintain good recordkeeping and confidentiality of operations, materials, equipment and designs associated with the Company and its customers.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum HS Diploma. QC certification a plus, but not required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, use both hands, lift up to 40lbs without assistance.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a Clean Room environment and wear Clean Room attire as well as exposure to noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents

Projects Coordinator

CleanCut Technologies is currently seeking a candidate to join our Project Coordination team.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to coordinate and process new and existing customer orders. This position will work closely with our customers, as well as the Sales Department. Support and coordination is also expected for the following departments: Document Control, Purchasing, Design, Scheduling, and Shipping and Receiving, as well as in providing coordination with our outside vendors.
Job Duties:

  • Process incoming PO’s – review for accuracy of Part Numbers (PN) Revision (Rev.) Pricing and Ship date. (Data Entry – JobBoss and Synergy)
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure multiple level projects are processed and executed
  • Review and Process new specs and drawings – (departments include, Design and Doc Control)
  • Material allocation – (may include, Purchasing department, outside vendors)
  • Scheduling Department – (track orders to ensure they are processed by Quality/Mfg. to ship on time)

These qualities require that the candidate possess the following attributes:

  • Time management with attention to detail. Understand the project and the deliverables.
  • Comprehend customer specs and drawing (PN’s and Rev changes)
  • Professional, good communication and written skills (providing updates to customer and with internal departments)
  • Provide excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate expertly
  • Manage incoming calls
  • Manage work load electronically
  • Comprehend SOP’s and train to new processes as directed and are updated
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office and able to type 50 WPM)

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Graphic Art knowledge – Die Cutting and Printing
  • 3-5 years as a Project Coordinator
  • 3 years Customer Service
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required if years of work experience requirements are met in project coordination or related field
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum HS Diploma. QC certification a plus, but not required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 5 pounds.   • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily working in an office environment in a controlled atmosphere building; the employee spends the majority of their time on the telephone with the ability to use a headset as needed; the noise level is usually moderately quiet.
