We believe giving back is a privilege as well as our corporate responsibility. Therefore, we encourage our employees to volunteer their time and effort to support organizations within our community that they feel deeply about.
An organization that is near and dear to us is the Orangewood Foundation in Santa Ana, CA. The Orangewood Foundation is one of the leading providers of services to current and former foster youth. Their mission is to prepare foster youth to reach their greatest potential. They help almost 2,000 foster youth annually prepare for independent adulthood. We have committed to assisting the Resource Center which provides assistance to the youth that have been released. Orangewood’s Resource Center provides basic needs, housing, life skills, education and employment for this group.
In addition, we also proudly support the county’s most comprehensive private homeless services provider – The Orange County Rescue Mission located in Tustin, California. The Orange County Rescue Mission serves more than 20,000 people a year, the majority being veterans, throughout Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties and has done so for 51 years. They provide assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care and independent living communities. Their mission is to get the homeless back on their feet and most importantly to help them regain their dignity.
Some of our volunteer efforts have included the following:
July 28, 2017
The CleanCut employees put their packaging skills to use and packaged toiletry kits for Orangewood Foundation’s Resource Center. Many foster youth struggle to become self-sufficient once they are released from foster care at age 18. The Resource Center provides the youth with their basic needs, and housing, education and employment services.
“Operation Teddy Bear”
April 25, 2017
There are over 100 homeless children that come through the Orange County Rescue Mission each year. Sadly, some arrive with nothing more than the clothes they are wearing. CleanCut employees assembled and stuffed 100 teddy bears for the children to make their life just a little brighter.
“Used Clothing Drive”
March 31, 2017
Our used clothing drive was held to collect our employee’s gently-used clothing to donate to the men, women and children living at the Orange County Rescue Mission. CleanCut employees did a lot of “Spring Cleaning” in the month of March and we donated 4 large boxes of clothing to the Rescue Mission.
